G2150 Bolt-Type Chain Shackle

is a straight bolt-and-nut rigging component used in rigging and installation work. It is made from carbon steel to EN 13889. The G2150 shackle has a straight (dee) body and a load-bearing bolt secured with a nut, which is additionally cotter-pinned. The bolt is passed through both eyes, and the nut is threaded onto the end that emerges from the far eye. The shackle is galvanised, which prevents premature corrosion and failure.

Applications

Used as a component of textile, chain or wire rope slings, for tow ropes, and in general-purpose work. The main advantage of the G2150 shackle is secure attachment and reliable removal even after deformation. To use the shackle, simply unscrew the load-bearing bolt, pass the sling, eye or lug into the shackle, insert the bolt through both eyes, then fit and cotter-pin the nut.
