Chain Leg (Universal)

A chain leg — is a practical, wear-resistant lifting and lashing component that is easy to repair and has a wide range of uses. It is made from high-alloy Grade 80 (G80) chain.

Its main purpose is securing loads as part of a chain lashing assembly, as well as use in high-temperature production environments, port rigging work, construction and other areas where heavy loads must be held securely.

Structurally, a leg is a length of chain with identical fittings at each end: hook-hook or link-link. Unlike an SL sling, which uses different fittings at each end, a leg has a symmetrical configuration.

The product is supplied with G80 components. At the customer’s request the standard clevis hooks can be replaced with grab hooks.
